Course Description

Pottery Classes in Beautiful Bragg Creek Alberta. This 8 week course is an introduction to the fundamentals of forming clay vessels by hand with a focus on various surface decoration techniques. Thoughout the session you will be learning surface treatments such as mocha diffusion, bubble glazing, monoprinting, slip trailing and sgraffito. The forms made will be handbuilt and not thrown on the pottery wheel, this will allow more focus to be on the surface decoration techniques. Each session will have a specific theme, students will have the option to try the example projects or they may try working on their own ideas. The sample projects shown in each class may include, mugs, tumblers, cheese boards, serving platters, plates, vases, etc.

Course fee includes, clay, tools, kiln firings and glaze materials.
